What an unbelievable ride it’s been down here. The progress on the house is still getting banged out. My knitting adventures are ramping up with new designs submit for publication (upcoming fall/winter seasons) and we’re saying goodbye to a dear friend today. Three months ago, my friend of over ten years came to stay with us on our little island. It’s been a whirlwind of fun, and we are very sad to see her head back north. Hopefully she will come down to visit us again soon. The house will sure feel empty without her.
But not all is gloom and doom! Today is St. Patrick’s Day, and we celebrate it all weekend long here on the island. The town puts on a parade, and the parrots just love the sounds, colors and beads! Marvin get’s really serious about his beads! This year, Marlowe (the little green quaker) was not having any of it, so we took him home early. Marvin, our Blue Throated Macaw? He was in heaven! Such a sweet boy. I’m glad he had fun.
To continue the celebration, I’m sharing one of my favorite holiday patterns with you! Check it out!
The pattern can be found here on Ravelry. It looks like a simple, quick knit!
Happy Knitting, Everyone!
