chokers for sale at the freak bazaar

after thanksgiving dinner is served (and black friday is, thankfully, over!) comes the first shopping weekend of the holiday season. why not prepare yourself for christmas in glamorous gothy style by joining me at spellbound? i’d made a post about the freak bazaar a few entries ago, but now i have some special things to show you!

in addition to the patterns i sell on etsy, i’ll also be carrying a few special pieces for the discerning crafter. yes, the chokers are coming out, and they’re loaded with sparkle this season!

each choker is made from high quality cotton thread and is hand beaded. it has been almost two years since i was out vending (back before “unhinged knitter” even existed, when the business was small, local only and called “weaving roses”!) and the chokers have always been a favorite. i hope you like them, too.

here they are, my knitterly freaks!
five hand made chokers, available to you at the freak bazaar!overture

she’s my favorite of the bunch. sterling silver drapings, quartz crystals and crackled swarovski crystals create this elegant piece, set off by a smoked crystal teardrop pendant. it’s hard to part with this beauty.

this purple stunner is heavily beaded throughout. it is also one of my vintage designs! oooh, vintage!

silk and crystals

this freeform choker was worked up from a bamboo silk yarn.  it is one of two in the group not made from the cotton crochet thread.  it is buttery soft, unique and adorned with pure crystals.  it’s off center design was hand beaded with a single sterling silver bead in the center and a teardrop to accentuate the freeform droplets.
~40 dollars

blizzard

blizzard is the final choker before the big event on saturday.  it’s composed of a black silk base and sterling silver findings.  this freeform piece is also beaded in freeform with a variety of high quality crystals, silver beads and tiny bells.  the back of the choker has a longer chain with a textured silver bell for added song.  the snowflake centerpiece is made from sterling silver and swarovski crystals, and three tiny silver snowflake charms hang off of the piece.  there’s also a single crystal teardrop sneaking around in the bead design.
~50 dollars
